Do guests need an account or an app?

No. A guest scans the QR code or opens the join link, the upload page opens in the browser their phone already has, and they send photos and video straight from it. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no password. They can add their name so you know who sent what, or leave it blank.

How does the QR code work?

It is a printed link. A guest points their phone camera at it and the upload page opens in the browser they already have — no scanner app, and nothing installed. Put it on table cards, the invitation, entrance signage or a screen. The same event can also be reached by typing its code on the join page.

Who can see the photos and videos?

Accepted Answer

Only who you decide. There are three settings, chosen when the event is created: keep everything to yourself and guests upload without ever seeing the gallery; hold each upload until you approve it; or let invited guests see uploads as they finish. A gallery is reached by a link you create, it is never a public page, and search engines are not allowed to index it.

Can I approve photos before guests see them?

Yes, and it is the setting most hosts want. Choose the approval mode when you create the event and every upload waits in a queue until you release it — nothing is visible to guests before then. You can publish or turn down items one at a time or in bulk, and every upload shows whether it is waiting, approved or turned down.

What happens after 15 days?

On day fifteen the gallery closes: access ends for you and for your guests at the same moment. Between day fifteen and day thirty an administrator can still reach the content, and only for recovery, security and support — restoring something removed by mistake, or answering a report. On day thirty it is permanently deleted and nobody can bring it back, ourselves included. Download what you want to keep before day fifteen.

How long is content kept?

Fifteen days for owners and guests. After that, administrators may retain quarantined copies for up to thirty days for recovery, security and support, and the content is then permanently deleted. The dates are shown on the event from the moment you create it, so nothing about the ending is a surprise.

Question 7

How do photographers deliver professional files?

Accepted Answer

Through a client portal in the photographer workspace. You upload the finished set by dragging it in, choose whether the client gets originals or watermarked previews, and the client signs in with their own credentials to see their delivery and nothing else. Access can be revoked later without deleting the work.

Can photographers use it with their own clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The photographer workspace is a separate surface with its own events, albums, client portals and selections. Guest uploads and your delivery can live in the same event without mixing: the couple's gallery is what the guests sent, your portal is what you delivered. Professional formats are stored intact, including the ones no browser can preview.

How are RAW, PSD, AI, EPS and PDF files shown?

They are stored and handed back exactly as uploaded, and they are shown as an honest file card rather than a picture. No browser can draw a camera raw file, a layered PSD, an AI, an EPS or a PDF, so the card names the format and its size instead of a broken thumbnail. AVI is treated the same way. JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP4 and WebM preview directly; HEIC is decoded first; AVIF, TIFF and MOV depend on the browser.

How does the client portal work?

Each client gets their own way in — a username and password you set for them, not an account on the platform. Behind it is one delivery: their event, their selection, your branding. They cannot see your other clients or the guest uploads that live in the same event. If a relationship ends you revoke the access and the portal closes.

Question 11

Can I download the whole event as one ZIP?

Not yet. The downloads screen lists archive jobs and their states, but nothing generates the ZIP file, so the request button is disabled and says so rather than queueing work that would never finish. Until that service is switched on, saving happens file by file — and only where the event allows downloads at all.

Is there a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

No, and nothing needs one. The whole product runs in a phone browser: guests upload from it, hosts approve from it, clients open their portal in it. There is no app to buy anything in either — payment is by card on the website, through Stripe.

What kinds of event is Momenly for?

Accepted Answer

Any event where the people in the room are the ones holding the cameras. Weddings and engagements, birthdays, festivals and crowd events each have their own page describing what changes. Nothing in the platform is specific to one of them: the same code, queue, visibility settings and fifteen-day clock apply to all.

Which languages are supported?

English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Turkish and Indonesian. English is always the fallback.

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

By card on the website, through Stripe. One-time plans are charged once and never renew. Studio is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time. Guests never pay for anything. If card payments are not switched on yet, the billing screen says so.

Can I move up to a bigger plan during the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrade from the event's billing screen and you pay only the difference between what you already paid and the new plan. The larger storage and guest limits apply as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

No. An event's media is stored and served for weeks to a gallery full of guests, and that costs real money on every use. A paid plan is what keeps your photographs online and intact rather than rationed. Essential starts at $39 for a single event.
